Position: English Intervention Tutor

Start date: May 2024

Contract length: initially until the end of the academic year

Location: Blackpool, Lancashire

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a strong English specialist on behalf of an Ofsted rated “outstanding” Secondary School in Blackpool, Lancashire to carry out intervention, both one-to-one and to small groups, outside the classroom. The successful candidate will work with students across KS3 and KS4 who have been identified as most in need of additional English support.

This role will involve helping students achieve their potential in AQA English Language GCSE and AQA English Literature GCSE. The successful candidate will work closely with our excellent English department.

We are looking for:

  • A strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of delivering good and outstanding progress with excellent organisational skills.  
  • Someone who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. 
  • Someone who is confident in their ability to engage with, inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.

The successful candidate will have to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
