Head of Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Modern Foreign Languages to lead and manage the French and Spanish departments at one of our schools in King's Lynn. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to shape high-quality teaching and develop an innovative curriculum that supports student success; the school is part of an ambitious multi-academy trust. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Modern Foreign Languages department.
  • Drive innovative approaches to curriculum development and teaching strategies.
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, helping students achieve their full potential in French and Spanish.
  • Lead on performance management, self-evaluation, and department improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the delivery of a world-class curriculum.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are essential.
  • Proven success as a teacher and department manager in secondary education.
  • Experience in performance management, data analysis, and curriculum planning.
  • Ability to inspire staff and students to excel in language learning.

Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) to Upper Pay Scale (UPS) + TLR of £6,700 per annum.
