Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential.
- Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global citizenship.
- Promote excellent classroom behaviour and establish high expectations for learning, participation, and achievement.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and colleagues to support academic progress and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- QTS desirable but not necessary
- A positive, patient, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
