We are recruiting an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to join a welcoming school, where you will play a key role in engaging students with the world around them, developing their geographical knowledge, critical thinking, and understanding of global issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential.
  • Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global citizenship.
  • Promote excellent classroom behaviour and establish high expectations for learning, participation, and achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and colleagues to support academic progress and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • QTS desirable but not necessary
  • A positive, patient, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
